 Bruce has an entrepreneurial history and has experience in several disciplines including engineering/design, computer programming, network engineering, pattern making, model making, mold making, website development, publishing, and business administration. He has served on a number of non-profit and ministry boards in leadership roles.

He has recently retired and sold his product development company to his daughter.

His volunteer activities have involved work across the U.S., Dominican Republic, Philippines, Uganda, Kenya, and Israel. He graduated from Calvin College in 1975 with a BFA in fine art and engineering. He served as President and CEO of Eagle Design & Technology, Inc. in Zeeland, Michigan for 30 years.
